Former president Dr APJ Abdul Kalam dies in Shillong Due cardiac arrest

Former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam died in Shillong on Monday after he collapsed during the lecture at the IIM Meghalaya.
He was 84 years old and collapsed around 6:30 PM when attending the function. He was rushed to Bethany hospital in shillong. Doctors tried their best to retrieve him but failed to do so. Doctors declared him dead due to cardiac arrest. His soul body will be taken to Guwhati by a helicopter and from there flown to Delhi.


APJ Abdul Kalam served as the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. He was born and raised in Rameswarama, Tamil Nadu and studied physics and aerospace engineering.
