Royal gala: Mysuru’s new scion ascends the throne

In what is a rare phenomenon in this day and age, Mysuru has witnessed the coronation of its new scion, the titular head, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar. The visit to the temples which is usually done by the Prince in a silver chariot, was performed in a car this time and as a part of the Anointment Ceremony (as the royal family has decided to call) as many as 30 rituals were performed at Mysuru Palace on Wednesday.
